Description
Caverns V2 is Keeley’s answer to end-of-chain sound design, stacking a Magnetic Echo tape-style delay against three distinct reverb characters in one small enclosure. Up to 650ms of warm, saturating delay time gives you room for slow washes or tight slapback, and a three-way modulation switch lays Wow and Flutter pitch wobble over the repeats for that worn-tape movement, whether you’re running clean or pushing into drive.
On the reverb side you get three cavern types to choose from:
- Spring – blackface-style spring tank paired with F-style tremolo
- Modulation – chorused reverb tails that bloom into a huge, swirling space
- Shimmer – octave-up voicing woven into the trails for ethereal, ascending decay
V2 reworks the original Caverns layout with more breathing room between footswitches, so fast tap-dancing feels less cramped underfoot. Jacks are top-mounted to keep your cable spaghetti in check on crowded boards, and a Trails/True-Bypass switch lets you decide whether your ambience keeps ringing after you kill the pedal or cuts cleanly – Keeley’s buffer stage is tuned to pass a full-strength signal to your amp either way.
Small footprint, big options: this pedal was made for fly-rigs and space-starved boards that still need serious delay and reverb depth. It’s assembled entirely in the US by Keeley’s team, built to the same durability standard players count on for touring gear. Two TRS breakout cables (sold separately) let you patch it into a pro switching rig if that’s how your board is organized.
