The PLEX isn’t just an EQ box, though — every knob hides a second function. Press in on the bass knob for stacked low-end bump, dig into the low-mid contour for that scooped slap tone, tame pick attack with the hi-mid cut, or dial in airy presence on the treble control. Each engaged option lights blue and shows its level, so you can build a voicing that a standard tone stack simply can’t reach.
Beyond EQ, the PLEX carries a full toolkit for stage and studio work. A footswitchable compressor gives you variable level, threshold, ratio, and attack/release with a gain reduction indicator, so your dynamics stay locked whether you’re slapping or fingerstyle. An overdrive stage with variable drive and volume, plus multiple symmetry/voicing options, lets you push from warm grit to full snarl without leaving the signal chain. A chromatic tuner with a large LED readout keeps everything in check between songs.
Routing options make it a genuine amp-optional rig: a 1/4″ line output drives your amp or power amp, while the direct XLR output (with ground lift and pre/post selector) feeds the PA or a recording console. USB in/out opens up direct-to-DAW recording and re-amping, aux input lets you jam silently along with a mix through the headphone output, and an effects send/return gives you room to loop in outboard gear.
