Description
The EBS MicroBass II gives bassists two distinct voices in one board-friendly box: a transparent solid-state channel and a second channel loaded with EBS’s respected tube emulation circuit, borrowed straight from their pro bass heads. Footswitches handle mute and channel selection, so you can jump from a clean, hi-fi tone to a warmer, driven growl mid-song without reaching down. A built-in effects loop lets you patch in other pedals or blend in a line-level source like a CD player for practice sessions.
Beyond the two channels, this is a serious utility box for stage and studio. The balanced XLR output includes a speaker simulator option, making direct-to-desk recording or FOH feeds sound convincing without a cab in the signal path. Shaping tools include bass, sweepable midrange, treble, plus bright and edge filters, alongside independent drive and effects-mix controls for dialing the blend between clean and driven signals. A headphone output and low-battery indicator round out the practical side, while link and master outs make it easy to route to an amp and a separate recording chain simultaneously.
