Description
Most wahs choke out bass frequencies or turn muddy the moment you dig in — the 105Q Bass Crybaby was engineered to fix that. Dunlop built a proprietary potentiometer and custom EQ circuitry around bass-specific frequencies, so the sweep stays full and articulate instead of thinning out your low end.
Front and center is Dunlop’s Q control, letting you dial in exactly how aggressive or vocal the wah feels — push it toward bright and punchy for cutting solo lines, or back it off for a warmer, more subtle throat. On a pedalboard, this makes the 105Q flexible enough to sit early in the chain for a classic sweep into drive, or later for a more filtered, synth-like effect into your amp.
Stepping on the treadle engages the effect smoothly in the lower register — no jarring jump in volume or tone. Lift off and the pedal’s silent auto-off switching bypasses the circuit cleanly, while the internal spring returns the treadle to its off position automatically. There’s also an onboard volume control, so you can match unity gain or push a little extra boost into a wah-driven solo section.
