The BE-OD takes the celebrated voice of the Friedman BE-100 head — the amp behind countless world-class rigs — and packs it into a pedal built for the front of your signal chain or the loop of your amp. Rather than a one-trick booster, it’s a fully sculptable overdrive circuit that reacts to your picking dynamics and guitar’s volume knob the way a cranked valve amp would.
Six controls give you real command over the gain structure: Volume and Gain set your output and drive amount, Tight cleans up low-end flub for high-gain settings, while Bass, Treble, and Presence let you carve the EQ to match your amp and cab. Roll Gain back for a touch-sensitive, slightly broken-up crunch that cleans up beautifully with your guitar’s volume pot, or push it further for thick, singing lead tones with plenty of harmonic bite. True bypass switching keeps your clean tone untouched when the pedal is off.
Built in the USA from premium components and designed for the rigors of touring life, the BE-OD is equally at home as your only drive pedal or stacked with others on a busy board.
