Description
The VT2 is AMT’s Legend Amp Series II take on the VHT amp voice — dense, high-gain saturation with the touch sensitivity and harmonic push of a real tube head, packed into a compact stompbox.
- Triple-output routing: a speaker-simulated CAB SIM OUT for direct recording, a PREAMP OUT for feeding a power amp, and a DRIVE OUT for running into a combo or head — all usable at once, letting you split signal for tracking, reamping, or parallel effects chains.
- Clean level + clean boost (bypass mode): a CL LEVEL knob restores or boosts your bypassed signal, and the CL BOOST switch adds up to +8dB. Set it around 1 o’clock for unity buffered output on long cable runs, or push it further to match your clean tone’s volume to the overdrive channel — effectively turning the VT2 into a two-channel preamp.
- Full tone-shaping section: OD LEVEL and OD GAIN dial in output loudness and drive/saturation amount, while HIGH, MIDDLE, and BASS knobs sculpt the EQ curve to match your amp or cab.
- LED status indicator shows when the effect is engaged.
Whether you’re chasing that VHT snarl for a solo boost or want a pedal that doubles as a studio-ready preamp with switchable clean/dirty channels, the VT2 gives pedalboard builders a genuinely flexible signal path in a small footprint (110 x 62 x 58 mm), running on 9-12V DC (negative center) via adapter or battery with low power draw.
