Description
The AMT Legend Amp Series V1 distills decades of British Vox character into a compact preamp-style pedal built to anchor a serious pedalboard. Dial it back and it behaves as a smooth, low-gain overdrive — that sweet, breaking-up-tube feel rather than anything approaching hard rock or metal saturation. Pair it with a cranked tube amp and work your guitar’s volume knob, and the V1 tracks dynamics the way a real Vox head does.
It’s equally at home as a boost. Stack it before or after your favorite overdrive and the V1 blends in cleanly, widening your available range of gain and tonal color without adding another single-knob box to the chain. And because it includes a cab-simulated output, it can go straight into a computer or mixer for direct recording — skip the mic and preamp entirely.
- Built-in FX loop (FX IN / FX OUT) on the right side for routing time-based effects like reverb, delay, or chorus, mirroring an amp’s send/return.
- CHANNEL SEND and RETURN on the left side, letting you loop in other preamp or overdrive pedals and use the V1 as a pedalboard control hub. Both loops are optional — the pedal works fine using just the main IN/OUT.
- Extra 12VDC output jacks (right and left) to power two additional pedals from the same 12VDC input.
- Toggle-selectable output level: +4dB AMP output or -10dB CAB SIM output.
- Controls: LOW and HIGH tone on top; LEVEL, MASTER, and GAIN below.
- True bypass passive circuitry — no signal loss when off.
- Two outputs: direct amplifier out and cab simulation out for mixer/studio use.
- Power-saving mode automatically engages when the speaker-sim output is unused; draws under 6mA from a 9V supply, dropping to 4mA in power-saving mode.
