Description
Skylar condenses GFI System’s reverb research into four dedicated algorithms — Spatium, Shimmer, Plate, and Tremble — each built to occupy its own space on your board rather than blur into a generic wash. Plate gives you the tight, contained bounce that sits well on rhythm parts without smearing the low end, while Spatium opens into a wider, more ambient field for atmospheric passages. Shimmer layers pitched harmonics into the tail for the ethereal, swelling textures post-rock and ambient players chase, and Tremble pairs tremolo pulse with reverb decay, its speed controllable via an external tap-tempo input for tight rhythmic sync on stage.
Four knobs plus a button handle the parameter diving, and the onboard LCD screen keeps you oriented instead of counting clicks blind — a real advantage when you’re switching between two onboard presets mid-set. An expression pedal input opens up real-time control over reverb parameters, letting you swell decay or blend with your foot rather than a static setting, and momentary switching is supported for players who prefer press-and-hold control.
Signal integrity stays intact even when Skylar is off, thanks to analog dry-through, and both mono and stereo routing are supported — mono via standard TS cables, stereo via TRS (a Y-splitter may be needed for full stereo rigs). Internally, 24-bit DAC/ADC conversion keeps the algorithms clean and detailed.
