Description
AMT Electronics CN1 Chameleon Cab solves the classic direct-recording problem: distortion and overdrive pedals fed straight into a computer sound thin, fizzy, and brittle without a real cabinet and mic in front of them. The CN-1 puts that missing link back into the chain, packing cabinet, speaker, and mic-position emulation into a standard pedal enclosure.
Placement is simple — it goes last in the chain, after your drive pedals or preamp, right before your interface or DAW input. No cab, no mic, no extra hardware between you and a usable recorded tone.
- SIZE CAB — sweeps the emulated cabinet from a tight 1×10" footprint up through a full, thick 4×12" voice, with everything in between.
- MAGNET — shapes the frequency cutoff of the emulated speaker magnet for tighter or looser low-end response.
- POSITION — dials the virtual mic in toward the center of the cone (brighter, more focused) or out toward the edge (rounder, darker).
- TURN — rotates the virtual mic’s axis from straight-on to angled-off, mimicking real mic placement techniques.
Between the four controls you can land on classic small-combo character, a thick wall-of-4×12 roar, or anything between, all shaped by AMT’s dedicated speaker emulation circuitry.
