Description
The Legend II C2 Conford takes AMT’s amp-in-a-box concept and hands it to the studio and pedalboard obsessive. Where the original Legend series nailed high-gain tube saturation, the II adds routing options that turn this pedal into a genuine signal-chain utility, not just a gain stage.
- Three outputs run at once: CAB SIM OUT for direct recording, PREAMP OUT for feeding a power amp, and DRIVE OUT for pushing into a combo or head
- Split your rig — send one output to a mic’d cab, another straight to the DAW, another to a totally different effect chain
- OD LEVEL, OD GAIN, HIGH, MIDDLE, BASS shape the drive tone from crunchy edge to full saturated distortion
- CL LEVEL knob turns the bypassed signal into a buffer — handy for long cable runs or boosting your clean amp tone, with 1 o’clock as the neutral unity point
- CL BOOST switch adds up to +8dB to the clean/bypass signal, effectively giving you a switchable two-channel preamp from a single stompbox
- Buffer and boost functions apply specifically through the CAB SIM OUT and PREAMP OUT jacks
- LED status indicator for engaged/bypassed state
Because the clean channel can be dialed to match the level of the drive channel, the Conford works equally well as an always-on buffer at the front of a crowded board, or as a proper two-voice preamp switching between clean and overdrive. For anyone tracking direct while also running a cab, or splitting signal to multiple destinations mid-chain, having three live outputs simultaneously is the standout feature here.
Runs on 9-12V DC, negative center, via adapter or battery, with low current draw. Compact footprint at 110 x 62 x 58 mm keeps it easy to place even on a tight board.
