Description
The Keeley Compressor Pro brings genuine studio compressor circuitry down to pedal size, hand-built in Oklahoma. It’s not limited to guitar duty — its frequency response and noise floor are built to rival rack compressors, so it happily handles bass, keys, drum machines, vocals, or anything else you feed it. Drop it into a signal chain where you need real metering and real control, not just a squash-and-hope stomp.
- 7-Segment LED Metering: Watch gain reduction in real time from -1dB to -20dB, so you’re dialing in compression by eye as well as ear.
- Bi-Color Threshold LED: Instantly see when the compressor engages and releases.
- Exact RMS Analysis (ERA): Tracks the true RMS of whatever’s coming in, for accurate, program-dependent response.
- Hard/Soft Knee Switching: Hard knee for limiting and added sustain; Soft Knee (‘Komfort Kompression’) for a gentler, more natural feel that avoids phase issues in blended or parallel setups.
- Auto Attack/Release: Flip Auto ON and let the circuit set attack and release times based on what you’re actually playing.
- True Bypass: Zero tone or signal loss when the pedal is off.
Controls include THRESHOLD, RATIO, ATTACK, RELEASE, GAIN, KNEE, and AUTO. Threshold spans -50dBu to +10dBu, covering everything from passive guitar pickups to pro and consumer line levels. Ratio runs from 1:1 (no compression) up to 8:1 for hard limiting or chicken-pickin’ style effects. Attack times range 0.15ms–150ms, Release 0.1s–3s, and the Gain stage offers up to +20dB of make-up boost without touching your compression settings.
Place it anywhere in the chain — home practice, studio tracking, podcast/YouTube setups, or live rigs where it can smooth performances and help protect your amp and speakers from overload. Whether you want subtle smoothing on chord work, added sustain on leads, or aggressive limiting, the Compressor Pro’s metering takes the guesswork out of getting there.
