Description
The Silver Spring Reverb (SSR) brings Mad Professor’s Finnish handbuilt design philosophy into a PCB-built pedal, using the same components found in their pricier handwired units but assembled on a purpose-designed board to keep the footprint small and the cost more accessible.
At its core is a hybrid signal path: digital reverb generation paired with a pure analog dry signal. That distinction matters on a crowded board — your original tone passes through unaltered while the reverb tail blooms underneath it, giving you ambience without smearing pick attack or note definition.
- Sounds excellent on clean tones, with a natural, spring-like decay rather than a synthetic wash
- Engineered specifically to hold together under distortion, where lesser reverbs tend to collapse into mud
- Primarily designed for placement after your gain/distortion pedals in the chain
- Can also run before distortion — just dial back the Wet/Dry knob to keep the reverb from getting overwhelmed by the drive stage
For pedalboard builders chasing that elusive ‘always-on’ ambient reverb that never fights for attention, the SSR is built to sit quietly at the end of the chain and simply make everything sound more finished — small footprint, big tone, exactly as Mad Professor intended.
