Description
Volume pedals have a bad reputation for robbing tone, and the Mission Engineering VM Pro was engineered specifically to fix that. Rather than acting as a simple passive potentiometer in your signal path, it packs onboard buffering that keeps your signal strong and your high end intact, no matter where in the chain it sits.
- Built-in buffers preserve tone and prevent signal loss
- Isolated tuner output lets you tune silently (requires optional VM-PRO tuner adapter)
- Sparkle control to dial in top-end brightness to taste
- Compatibility switches for active pickups, passive pickups, and fuzz pedals — a common trouble spot for standard volume pedals
- PZ version offers 10M ohm impedance for passive piezo pickups
Because of its adaptable design, the VM Pro isn’t limited to standard electric guitar duty. It performs equally well with electro-acoustic and baritone guitars, bass, steel guitars, electronic keyboards, and even instrument mics like harmonica and horn mics — making it a genuinely flexible utility pedal for any pedalboard, whether you’re placing it up front for clean volume swells or later in the chain ahead of your amp.
Power comes from a 9V battery (included) or an external 9V–18V supply with a 2.1mm center-negative pin (not included). Current draw is nominal at 3mA (27mW) at 9VDC and 4mA (72mW) at 18VDC.
Measures 10″ x 4″ x 3″ and weighs 3.2 lb, finished in flat black.
