Description
Volume pedals have a bad reputation for sucking tone, and the Mission Engineering VM-PRO exists to end that. Built with onboard buffers and a set of compatibility switches, it adapts to your rig instead of forcing your rig to adapt to it — whether you’re running active pickups, passive pickups, or a fuzz pedal that hates buffers ahead of it.
Place it anywhere in your chain and it stays quiet about it. An isolated tuner output lets you check pitch silently without interrupting your signal (note: the tuner out requires the optional VM-PRO tuner adapter, sold separately). A sparkle control lets you dial in a touch of top-end lift as the pedal rolls back, so your volume sweeps don’t go dull and lifeless at lower settings.
Beyond electric guitar, the VM-PRO is genuinely versatile — it handles electro-acoustic and baritone guitars, bass, electronic keyboards, steel guitars, and even instrument mics like harmonica and horn mics without complaint.
- Onboard buffers for consistent, uncolored volume control
- Isolated tuner output (adapter required, sold separately)
- Sparkle control for top-end retention during volume sweeps
- Compatibility switches for active/passive pickups and fuzz pedals
- Runs on a 9V battery (included) or external 9V-18V power supply, 2.1mm center-negative (not included)
- Current draw: 3mA (27mW) at 9VDC, 4mA (72mW) at 18VDC
- Dimensions: 10″ x 4″ x 3″ | Weight: 3.2 lb
If your board needs one volume pedal that plays fair with everything else on it, the VM-PRO in red is built for exactly that job.
