Description
Acoustic instruments on stage fight two battles: getting a true, transparent signal to the house, and keeping feedback howl at bay under stage volume. The Radial AC-Driver handles both with a Class-A FET buffer that stays honest to your instrument’s voice while giving you the tools to control what hits the mains.
Rather than burying you in menus, the AC-Driver puts feedback-fighting controls right under your feet and fingers. A variable notch filter lets you dial out the exact resonant frequency that’s causing trouble, while a 180° phase switch flips polarity to break up feedback loops caused by hot spots near stage monitors. An adjustable low cut filter trims boomy low-end buildup before it becomes a problem, and a silent mute footswitch lets you retune or swap instruments mid-set without any pop or thump reaching the audience.
Signal routing is straightforward: 1/4″ input in, and a choice of 1/4″ or balanced XLR DI output heading to your amp, PA, or powered speaker. Inside, a studio-grade Class-A FET circuit delivers a dynamic range over 107dBu with noise floor down at -97dBu, keeping the acoustic signal clean and detailed even at performance volume.
