Description
The DD-7 sits at the utility end of the BOSS delay lineage, but there’s nothing basic about what it offers a working pedalboard. Beyond straightforward digital repeats, it packs in a modeled Analog Delay mode built to echo the warmth of the classic DM-2, and a Modulation Delay mode that folds chorus-like movement into the repeats — useful for ambient swells or thickening single-note lines without reaching for a separate modulation pedal.
- Delay time stretches from 1 ms up to 6.4 seconds, giving you room for everything from tight slapback to long, washy trails
- Hold mode captures up to 40 seconds of input for sound-on-sound looping-style textures
- Stereo A/B outputs let you run true stereo panning across two amps, or split dry and wet signals for separate live and recording paths
- Tap tempo is available via an external footswitch (sold separately), keeping your hands free during a set
- An external Expression pedal (sold separately) puts delay time, feedback, and effect level under real-time foot control
- Runs on a 9V battery or optional PSA-series adaptor, with BOSS’s five-year warranty backing it up
Placement-wise, it behaves like most quality digital delays: after drive and modulation, before or in the loop of your amp for the cleanest trails. The stereo outs make it a strong candidate for the end of a chain feeding two amps or a stereo interface, and the Analog Delay mode gives it a warmer, darker character when you don’t want pristine digital repeats sitting on top of the dry signal.
Included: Owner’s Manual, Mode Sticker, Application Sticker, safety/info leaflets, and a 9V battery.
