Description
The Koko Boost made its name back in 2009 as the go-to utility box for guitarists who needed more than a simple volume kick — it delivered both a clean, transparent boost and a dedicated midrange bump that could nudge an amp or overdrive into a whole new gear. The Koko Reloaded takes that idea and refines it for the modern board.
Suhr shrank the footprint without cutting corners on tone. Under the hood, their proprietary Multi-Function Technology (mf(x)) lets you flip instantly between the clean boost and the mid boost from a single switch, so you’re not hunting for a second stomp mid-song. The 3-position frequency selector has been re-voiced for more musical midrange options, and Suhr dialed in an extra +6dB of gain over the original circuit — enough to add real harmonic thickness and sustain when you need your amp or drive pedals to push harder.
Placement is flexible: run it in front of a cranked tube amp to add grit and sustain, or park it ahead of your overdrive/distortion pedals to fatten their output and extend their range. Either way, the clean boost side stays true to your core tone while the mid boost carves out the frequencies that help a solo cut through a dense mix.
- Transparent clean boost + selectable midrange boost in one pedal
- mf(x) switching for fast, seamless toggling between boost modes
- Re-voiced 3-position frequency switch
- +6dB more gain than the original Koko Boost
- Compact, pedalboard-friendly enclosure
If your board needs a versatile boost that can both push your amp into overdrive territory and extend the reach of your existing drive pedals, the Koko Reloaded earns its spot.
