Classic treble boosters carve away low end as a side effect of cutting through a mix, but the SNAP gives you a way back. Its centre knob reintroduces bass on demand, so you keep the cut and sparkle up top without losing the body of your tone underneath — handy whether it’s sitting in front of a clean amp or stacked ahead of a dirty channel.
Under the hood, a tube-simulation circuit paired with a master volume recreates the push-and-give feel of driving a real tube amp, letting you explore that drive-type interaction guitarists chase from amp saturation. The master volume means you can dial in that character without the output leaping in level, so you’re not fighting your board’s overall gain staging just to get the tone you want.
Two builds are available:
- Deluxe version — comes housed in a wooden box, includes a bandana, and features a laser-engraved badge.
- Bean Counter version — a no-frills build with a silkscreened graphic styled after the badge, skipping the special packaging.
Runs on +9VDC @ 40mA, so it plays nicely with standard pedalboard power supplies.
For pedalboard builders, the SNAP works well early in the chain where boost pedals typically sit — ahead of overdrives and amp-driving fuzzes — giving you treble emphasis with a tone-shaping safety net most boosters don’t offer.
