Description
Descent isn’t just another reverb — it’s a sound-design tool built around three distinct algorithms, each with its own octave-blending trick. Hall mode delivers everything from a tight room slap to a vast, cathedral-length tail. Reverse mode plays your signal backwards with smooth, controllable transitions, shaped further by dedicated pre-delay controls. Shimmer mode is where things get orchestral: blend your dry signal with -1 and +1 octaves to build swelling, symphonic layers that fill out sparse chord voicings or ambient swells.
- Three reverb modes: Hall, Reverse, Shimmer
- +1 and -1 octave blending available in every mode
- Eight onboard controls for deep tone shaping
- Fav input accepts a TRS momentary switch for remote on/off or preset recall — handy if Descent lives at the back of a packed board and you just need a small SPST switch up front
- Expression pedal compatible with most standard units — set high/low ranges on any parameter and sweep them in real time with your foot
On the board, Descent works well as a end-of-chain ambient anchor, letting reverse swells or shimmer trails cascade behind drive and modulation pedals earlier in the signal path. Dimensions: 5 5/8″ x 4 5/8″ x 1 9/16″. As with all Walrus Audio pedals, power it with an isolated supply — daisy chains aren’t recommended.
