Description
Julia doesn’t make you choose between chorus and vibrato — she lets you dial through both and everywhere in between. Built around an analog signal path with selectable LFO wave shapes, this pedal covers gentle, glassy movement on one end and full pitch-wobbling seasickness on the other, all from the same footswitch.
The heart of Julia’s flexibility is the D-C-V (Dry-Chorus-Vibrato) knob. Instead of a simple toggle between effects, you get a continuous blend control: turn it down and you’re adding just a whisper of motion to your dry signal (handy for keeping bass tones grounded while still breathing), set it to noon for the classic 50/50 chorus mix, or push it to max for pure 100% wet vibrato. The real fun lives between noon and full — that’s where chorus and vibrato overlap into tones you won’t find on a standard two-knob chorus pedal.
Pair that with the Lag control, which sets the center delay time your LFO modulates around. Lower settings keep things smooth and tight; cranking Lag opens up a wider, warbling detune character that pushes the whole pedal into more unpredictable territory. Together, D-C-V and Lag turn Julia into less of a fixed-effect stompbox and more of a modulation playground worth spending real pedalboard real estate on.
