Once a pedalboard grows past a handful of stomps, tone suck and cable clutter start creeping in — the Transit 5 is Walrus Audio’s answer to both problems. It’s a true bypass looper/switcher that carves your board into individual loops, each one controllable with a dedicated footswitch, so any pedal (or group of pedals) can be instantly and cleanly pulled out of the signal path.
Beyond simple on/off switching, the Transit lets you build a combined signal loop: route several effects into one loop and flip them all in or out together with a single stomp. Whether you’re isolating a fuzz that hates buffers, grouping your modulation pedals for one-touch engagement, or just want a cleaner true-bypass path through a busy board, the Transit gives you that control without adding tone-coloring switching noise to the chain.
Note that Walrus also makes a Deluxe version of this switcher that adds clickless, near-silent channel switching — worth considering if audible pops during transitions are a dealbreaker for your setup. This Standard Transit handles the same routing duties with traditional mechanical switching.
