Description
The Bogner Burnley chases that classic British high-gain roar — think vintage Marshall stack — but gets there through an unusual route: a custom audio transformer wired right into the heart of the circuit. It’s the same trick Reinhold Bogner leans on in his tube amps, and the same principle that gave 1960s British mixing consoles their famously three-dimensional sound. On a pedalboard, that translates into distortion that feels less like a fuzzy wall and more like a fully-formed amp voice, with depth and separation between notes even under heavy gain.
- Transformer-driven circuit for a rounded, harmonically dense saturation rather than a flat, clipped edge
- Voiced after classic British high-gain amp tone — pairs well as a front-end drive into a clean amp or as an always-on gain boost
- Premium Bubinga wood top panel — a tactile, furniture-grade finish that sets it apart visually on any board
- Buttery, touch-responsive feel that holds together at higher gain settings
This particular unit is a floor demo, pulled briefly from the shop floor for in-house product demonstrations only — not a customer return, just lightly played to show off what it can do.
Drop it ahead of a clean amp for full-on Marshall-style crunch, or use it as a coloring stage in front of your existing dirt to add that transformer-driven dimensionality to your core tone.
