Description
Undersaddle pickups are honest but thin; the Aura Sixteen is Fishman’s fix. Drop it right after your acoustic’s pickup, and its Aura Acoustic Imaging engine reshapes that piezo signal into something that sounds like a well-placed studio mic captured your guitar in a room, not strapped to its bridge. For pedalboard builders running acoustic-electric rigs, this is less an “effect” and more a correction stage — the difference between stage-passable and genuinely great tone.
16 Dreadnought guitar Images ship pre-loaded and are fully user-configurable, so you can dial in the character that suits your instrument rather than settling for a generic setting. Need more options? Connect via the included USB cable to a PC or Mac, fire up the included Aura Image Gallery software (CD included), and pull down additional Images from Fishman’s growing library — expanding the pedal’s voice well beyond what’s in the box.
Controls stay simple: Volume, Blend, and Image Select handle the tone-shaping, while a dedicated Phase switch tackles feedback before it starts — critical for anyone running acoustic pickups through a hot stage monitor or PA. A Bypass/Mute footswitch, Input Trim, and a Clip/Low Battery indicator round out the hands-on features, all housed in a rugged all-metal enclosure sized to earn its spot on a board (5.6″ L x 4″ W x 2.1″ H, 1.25 lbs).
- 32-bit processing with 24-bit A/D/A conversion
- 1/4″ mono input and output with input trim control
- 9-volt battery operation (27-hour battery life) or optional adaptor power
- Compatible with Fishman’s 910R Power Supply (ACC-POW-BLE)
For players who want their acoustic to sound like an acoustic — not a piezo pickup — the Aura Sixteen belongs between your guitar and everything else.
