Description
The EXP-1 isn’t just another volume pedal bolted onto a Mustang rig — it’s a two-in-one control surface that toggles between master volume duties and live parameter sweeps, all from one footswitch. Tap the toe end to flip modes, and a color-coded LED tells you exactly where you stand: green for Volume mode, red for Expression mode.
In Volume mode, the EXP-1 acts as your master level control, or you can disengage it entirely when you don’t need it in the chain. Switch to Expression mode and the same pedal becomes a real-time modifier for your Mustang’s onboard effects — sweep a wah’s frequency, ride the rate on a modulation effect, or push a delay’s time parameter with your foot instead of a knob. It’s the kind of hands-free tonal shaping that turns static presets into something you actually play with mid-song.
Built specifically to pair with Mustang III, IV, and V amplifiers as well as the Mustang Floor multi-effects unit, this is a purpose-made companion rather than a generic expression pedal — plug it in and the Mustang platform recognizes it immediately.
