Description
The RC-1 strips looping down to its essentials: one switch, one knob, one job. Step on it to record, step again to overdub, hold to stop or undo — no menus, no mode-diving mid-set. That simplicity makes it a natural sit-anywhere addition to an existing board, whether it’s feeding a backing track for solos or holding down a chordal bed while you improvise over the top.
Up top sits a 24-segment circular LED ring that replaces guesswork with a glance — it shows exactly where you are in Rec, Overdub, or Play, and can switch to a mode that visually tracks the loop’s length in real time, with the rotation speed matching the phrase you’ve laid down. With up to 12 minutes of stereo recording available, there’s room to build layered, evolving passages rather than short one-bar sketches, and true stereo in/out jacks mean synths or stereo-rigged instruments loop the way they were meant to be heard, not folded down to mono.
Runs on a single 9V battery (roughly 4.5 hours) or an optional PSA-series adaptor, supports external footswitching for hands-free control, and holds your last recorded phrase in memory even after power-down — handy for gigs where the loop is part of the arrangement, not just a warm-up tool. Backed by BOSS’s five-year warranty.
