Description
Most gain pedals nail the tone but miss the feel. Palladium goes after both, using an architecture built specifically to reproduce the push-back and dynamic response of a cranked tube amp rather than just its EQ curve. The result is a stompbox that reacts to pick attack and volume changes the way a real high-gain head does – something distortion circuits rarely manage.
Run it into a power amp or a clean platform and dial in your own high-gain signature sound from scratch, or park it in front of an already-dirty amp to tighten low-end flab on rhythm parts and pile on extra sustain and saturation for leads. Either way, it’s designed to add real depth and body to your tone rather than just more fuzz.
Three separate gain stages give you room to shape the character: a main Gain control for overall saturation, a Resonance control that shapes low-frequency gain, and a Boost that injects overdrive earlier in the signal path. Stack them for anything from vintage rock crunch to modern metal saturation. A full EQ section – bass, treble, presence, and a sweepable midrange frequency – lets you match Palladium to whatever amp is downstream.
