Built around BBE’s latest High Definition Sound processing, this pedal-format preamp restores the depth and air that direct-input acoustic tone usually loses, without turning your instrument into something it’s not.

On the signal chain, Acoustimax works best as one of the last stops before your amp or PA — after any drive or modulation pedals, shaping the final tone and routing it cleanly to front-of-house via the DI while still feeding your onstage amp. The effects loop lets you insert reverb or delay post-EQ if you want those effects untouched by the tone shaping ahead of them.
Specs include a 50Hz–20kHz frequency response, ±12dB EQ bands (treble at 10kHz, mid sweepable 400Hz–2.5kHz, bass at 60Hz), notch filter down to -12dB across 70Hz–250kHz, 0.05% THD at 1kHz, and 2.2 MEG Ohm input impedance. This listing includes two 6″ patch cables for quick pedalboard hookup.
