Description
BBE went back to a 1967 Class A wah circuit as the starting point for this pedal, then rebuilt the heart of it — the Halo inductor — from scratch and paired it with a custom-tuned potentiometer. The result is a sweep that leans on the same tonal territory Hendrix, Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan mined decades ago, but with more control in your hands. Every component is hand-wired, which keeps the vintage circuit honest rather than digitally approximated.
What sets this wah apart from a straight reissue is the Harmony control, a dedicated knob that shapes the Q, or resonant peak, of the sweep. Roll it back for a smoother, more vocal wah that sits politely under a mix, or push it forward for a sharper, more aggressive quack that cuts through a dense band. It’s a small addition that gives you real flexibility over how the pedal reacts to your pick attack and where you place it in the chain — early for a classic wah-into-drive tone, or later for filtering an already-saturated signal.
True hard-wire bypass means the pedal gets out of the way completely when it’s off, so your tone stays uncolored until you stomp on it. This bundle also throws in two 6″ patch cables, handy for linking it into a pedalboard chain without hunting for extra cabling.
