Description
This bundle puts a genuine Fender-designed Telecaster together with a distortion pedal built to make it roar. The Squier Affinity Telecaster brings the alder body and Tele shape into a beginner-friendly package finished in Butterscotch Blonde, with a maple neck carved in a comfortable “C” profile and topped with a 9.5″ radius rosewood-style fingerboard hosting 21 medium jumbo frets. Two single-coil pickups — a Tele bridge unit and a vintage-voiced neck pickup — route through a 3-position blade switch for bridge, combined, or neck tones, kept simple with master volume and tone controls. Hardware includes a 6-saddle top-load bridge, synthetic bone nut, and the classic “top hat” switch tip, all finished in chrome for that unmistakable Telecaster look.
On the pedalboard side, the MXR M78 Custom Badass ’78 Distortion takes a vintage distortion circuit and pushes it into amp-stack territory. Three knobs are all it takes to dial in tone, while the CRUNCH toggle switches between two clipping modes — diode and LED — to shift the harmonic character of the drive. Set in front of a clean amp it fattens things up convincingly; ahead of an already-dirty or fully cranked amp, it stacks into thick, saturated leads and rhythm tones without turning to mush. Built with road-ready circuitry and hardware, it’s made to sit on your board for the long haul.
