Description
Buddy Guy didn’t just play the wah — he taught Hendrix, Clapton, and Vaughan a thing or two about it, and the BG95 is Dunlop’s tribute to that voice. At its core sits a Fasel Inductor tuned for a sweet, singing top end, feeding into two switchable wah personalities so you’re never locked into one texture on the board. Flip to “DEEP” for a big, throaty growl that shoves your rig forward, or dial in “BG” for Buddy’s own warm, bell-like sweep — the kind of vocal quack that cuts through a blues rhythm section without ever sounding harsh or nasal.
Side-mounted LEDs tell you which voice is active at a glance, while a separate indicator confirms effect on/off, so mode-switching mid-set stays foolproof even under stage lights. True hardwire bypass keeps your tone honest when the pedal is off, and the whole thing is wrapped in Buddy’s own polka-dot graphics with a custom signature tread — instantly recognizable on any pedalboard.
Placement-wise, this sits happiest early in the chain, ahead of gain stages, where its filter sweep can shape the front end of your saturation rather than fighting an already-compressed signal. This bundle includes a free 4oz guitar polish to keep your instrument looking as sharp as it sounds.
