Description
Skip the digital sheen: the MXR Carbon Copy runs your signal through a genuine analog bucket-brigade circuit, the same old-school technology that gives delay its natural darkening and warmth as repeats trail off. It’s a pedal that reacts more like tape or an old rackmount unit than a modern digital delay, which is exactly why it’s become a board staple for players chasing organic ambience rather than clinical precision.
Three top-mounted knobs keep things fast on a crowded board: Delay dials in up to 600ms of repeat time, Mix blends dry and wet signal, and Regen shapes how many times those repeats cycle back through the circuit. Flip the onboard switch to layer in modulation, and the tone shifts from tight, slapback-style echo to swirling, lush repeats reminiscent of classic Gilmour tones. For players who want to go deeper, two internal trim pots let you fine-tune the modulation’s width and rate, so the wobble can be subtle or pronounced depending on the song.
Housed in a Phase 90-sized enclosure, the Carbon Copy is compact enough to slot into tight pedalboard real estate without sacrificing tone. It runs on true hardwire bypass for a transparent signal path when off, draws power from a single 9V supply, and lights up with stage-visible blue LEDs so you always know your delay status at a glance.
This bundle includes two free 6″ cables, giving you what you need to patch it into your existing chain right out of the box.
