Catalinbread has reached back and rebuilt the original circuit as-is, preserving the biting, buzzsaw character that made it a favorite of surf and psych guitarists alike.
Its sonic fingerprints are all over rock history: The Ventures’ “2,000 Pound Bee,” Iron Butterfly’s “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida,” and more recently the fuzzed-out grit of the Black Keys. This is fuzz with attitude — spitty, compressed, and unapologetically vintage-voiced.
On the board, the Fuzzrite works best up front in the chain, right off your guitar, where its silicon transistors can react directly to your pickups and picking dynamics.
