The result keeps everything that made the original Riot a pedalboard staple — aggressive midrange push, tight low end, and a gain structure that cleans up nicely with your guitar’s volume knob — while reworking the voicing for added dimension and incorporating feature requests players have been asking for.
Suhr built the Reloaded series on the foundation of both the Riot and Shiba Drive, cross-pollinating ideas from each to land on a distinct tonal character rather than a simple reissue. Whether you’re stacking it ahead of a clean amp for crunch or pushing an already-dirty tone into rock territory, this pedal holds its own as a centerpiece overdrive on any board.
Visually, the Reloaded steps away from the standard stompbox look with a spiral-faced enclosure finished in a deep, saturated anodized color, topped with translucent control knobs for a more modern aesthetic on your board.
