The Xotic SP Compressor takes its cue from the OTA (operational transconductance amplifier) circuit that made the original Ross Compressor a benchmark for guitarists, then adds modern flexibility for players who need more than one flavor of squeeze. Dial it in subtle for clean rhythm work that stays articulate, push it toward vintage-style compression for that rounded, sustaining pluck, or drive it into a more modern, controlled clamp — the SP covers that whole range from a single small enclosure.
A dry blend knob lets you mix in uncompressed signal to preserve pick attack and note definition, while up to +15dB of onboard boost means the SP can double as a solo push at the front of your chain. An internal dip switch adjusts attack response, giving you a bit of behind-the-hood tailoring beyond the front-panel controls. True bypass switching keeps your tone unaffected when the pedal is off, and the tiny footprint (3.5″ x 1.5″ x 1.5″) means it barely eats into board real estate.
