The AC+ takes Xotic’s celebrated booster circuitry and doubles down, giving you two independent channels that can run alone or stack together with a single footswitch tap. Each channel houses its own two-way voicing switch, so you’re really dialing in from a matrix of tonal combinations rather than a single fixed gain curve. The result is a pedal that moves fluidly from a barely-there clean boost pushing your amp into its own natural breakup, to a fuller, saturated overdrive with singing sustain — all while keeping your core tone intact rather than smearing it.
Because the two channels can be engaged independently or stacked, the AC+ works equally well as a subtle always-on tone shaper at the front of your board or as a gain-stacking centerpiece for solos. Placement is straightforward: treat it like any transparent booster/OD and keep it early in the chain, ahead of modulation and time-based effects, to preserve pick attack and note definition as your dirt pedals and amp add their own character further down the line.
