Description
The VT Bass Deluxe takes Tech 21’s beloved SansAmp bass tone shaping and adds hands-free recall, without sacrificing an ounce of the all-analog character that made the original a studio and stage staple. Signal stays fully analog throughout; the digital layer is there purely for storing and switching between your six programmed sounds, so nothing gets sterile or compressed in the process.
Dual inputs let two players plug in simultaneously and each dial up three custom tones of their own, or one bassist can claim all six slots to move between distinct rigs mid-set: warm vintage clean on one preset, gritty overdrive on the next, full-on crushing distortion on another. Dialing in a sound is as intuitive as it gets — set the knobs where you want them, double-click a footswitch, and that voice is locked into the channel. No manual required, no menu diving mid-song.
A programmable FX loop means you can assign a favorite pedal to fire automatically with a specific preset, so switching to your distortion channel can also kick in a modulation or delay effect in the same step. On a busy pedalboard where quick, reliable tonal changes matter more than knob-twiddling between songs, that kind of automation earns its space.
