Description
The AMT S1 Legend Amp Series pedal captures the celebrated character of Soldano amplification in stompbox form. Built around a JFET preamp circuit, it tracks pick attack and volume-knob swells the way a tube amp does, moving fluidly from thick, singing overdrive to tight, aggressive high-gain lead tones without losing note definition.
Because the circuit behaves like an actual tube preamp stage rather than a simple distortion box, it responds to your guitar’s volume control the same way a cranked amp would—cleaning up, breaking up, or pushing into full saturation as you back off or dig in. Dial in LEVEL, GAIN, and a three-band LOW/MID/HIGH EQ to shape everything from a subtle push in front of a clean amp to a full Soldano-style wall of gain.
Signal integrity stays intact thanks to passive true bypass, so the S1 disappears from your chain when off. The output stage can swing up to +10dB at full Level, giving you enough headroom to drive a power amp’s input directly or feed a mixing desk without sounding thin.
- JFET circuit for tight, amp-like distortion response
- Controls: LEVEL, GAIN, LOW, MID, HIGH
- True bypass preamp circuitry
- Dual outputs: Direct Amplifier Out and Cab Simulation Out
- Automatic power-saving mode when Cab Sim output is unused
- Current draw under 6mA (4mA in power-saving mode) from 9V supply
Place it up front for classic Soldano-style crunch and lead saturation, or run the Cab Sim output straight to a mixer or DAW for amp-free recording.
