Description
Most phasers force a choice between vintage character and modern depth. The EBS Dphaser refuses to choose, packing three distinct phase-shifter voicings into one True Bypass box. Flip between Short for the familiar 70’s-style pulse, Long for a more pronounced, drawn-out sweep, or Wide for an almost flanger-like swirl that gets genuinely disorienting in the best way. Jamareo Artis (Bruno Mars) and Pete Griffin (ex-Zappa Plays Zappa, Dr. John) have both put it to work on stage.
Each mode pairs with Hi, Lo, or Off resonance settings, giving you control over how aggressive the effect feels, while dedicated Width and Rate knobs shape the sweep in real time. Pop the lid and there’s more to dial in: internal trim pots let you set the centre frequency for the Width sweep and adjust output gain to guard against signal loss, plus additional bypass and effect-type settings covered in the manual — handy for players who like to lock in a custom voice and leave it there.
EBS runs the Dphaser on 24-bit digital processing, chosen specifically to deliver that juicy analog phaser feel while staying compact enough for a crowded board. It’s equally at home holding down low end on a bass rig or adding motion to a guitar chain, thanks to circuitry designed to preserve the low range rather than thin it out.
