On your board, the Bad Stone works as a mood-setting phaser rather than a subtle enhancer — six stages of shift give it a thick, vocal swirl that ranges from a slow, breathing pulse to a fast, warbling flutter. The Rate knob sets that speed, while Feedback dials in how deep and pronounced the phase effect cuts, from glassy and understated to dense and resonant. A toggle switches between Auto sweep and Manual mode, the latter letting you park the phase at a fixed point and use an expression pedal or your own hands to sweep it in real time — handy for freezing a texture mid-riff or building a wah-like vocal effect.
Built into a compact, rugged die-cast enclosure, it’s true-bypass so it stays out of the way tonally when off, and an effect status LED keeps you honest about what’s engaged live.
