Description
Every rock guitarist knows the sound: that fixed, nasal wah tone parked mid-sweep that turns a riff into a monster. Chasing it with a treadle is a gamble—rock too far and you lose it. The Electro-Harmonix Cock Fight bakes that exact voice into a dial, so you can set the frequency once and hit it dead-on every time, no foot required.
This isn’t just a static wah, though. Flip in the built-in fuzz and the Cock Fight snarls with extra grind, and an adjustable bias control lets you push it from a clean, punchy fuzz into a sputtering, low-voltage “dying battery” texture. Switch modes and you get Talking Wah instead—a vowel-like, stuck voice-box character with its own frequency control, perfect for funk stabs or synth-guitar textures. It’s effectively three pedals in one enclosure: cocked wah, talking wah, and a classic fuzz, usable together or on their own.
For players who still want expressive control, the EXP input lets you connect a standard expression pedal to sweep either the wah or talking wah voice in real time, bridging the gap between fixed tone and full treadle control.
- Cocked wah and talking-wah voicings in one pedal
- Built-in fuzz with adjustable bias, from tight to broken-up
