Description
The Holy Grail Neo squeezes three distinct reverb voices into a small footprint that any pedalboard can accommodate. Rather than forcing you to choose one flavor of ambience, EHX gives you SPRING, HALL, and PLATE algorithms in a single compact housing, letting you match the reverb to the song instead of the other way around.
Flip to SPRING for the springy, slightly gritty splash associated with vintage combo amps — perfect for surf leads, twangy country runs, or anything that wants that amp-in-the-room bounce. HALL opens things up into a wide, cathedral-like wash, ideal for ambient swells or filling out sparse arrangements with a sense of physical space. PLATE, meanwhile, calls back to the metal-plate units found in top-tier recording studios of the ’60s and ’70s — smooth, evenly balanced across the frequency spectrum, and flattering on nearly anything you run through it, vocals included.
All three modes were voiced with electric guitar in mind, but the tonal balance translates well to other instruments and vocal chains too. True bypass wiring means the pedal stays sonically invisible when off, so it won’t color or thin out your signal elsewhere in the chain. Built into a rugged, road-ready chassis, it’s designed to survive gig life without hogging real estate on a crowded board.
