The Micro Q-Tron shrinks EHX’s classic auto-filter into a pedalboard-friendly footprint without giving up the touch-sensitive response that makes envelope filters fun to play. Instead of a fixed sweep, its internal envelope follower listens to how hard you dig in — dig in harder and the filter sweeps wider open; back off and it settles into subtler, more restrained territory. That means your dynamics do a lot of the work, letting you go from clucky funk stabs to smoother, vocal-like movement just by adjusting your attack.

Place it after your drive pedals for a snappier, more percussive filter response, or run it earlier in the chain for a smoother, more vocal sweep. Either way, it’s an analog circuit through and through — mono in, mono out, drawing a modest 15mA, so it plays nicely with the rest of your power supply. An optional 9.6VDC-200mA adapter can replace the battery, though it isn’t included. Compact at 4.75 x 4 x 2.25 inches, the Micro Q-Tron slots into tight board real estate while still delivering the funky, dynamic filtering EHX is known for.
