Description
The Alpha·Omega Ultra V2 sits at the front of your bass signal chain as both drive pedal and preamp, giving you two fundamentally different overdrive circuits in one enclosure. Alpha delivers a tight, articulate punch with plenty of note definition, while Omega goes for something rawer and more aggressive. The Mod knob lets you blend or switch between them, and with the Darkglass Suite software you can even assign a footswitch to toggle Alpha and Omega on the fly mid-set.
A Blend knob keeps your clean tone at unity gain while you dial in the overdriven signal separately via the Level knob, so you’re never forced to choose between full distortion and your original low end. The Bite and Growl switches add quick tonal shaping — a high-mid boost at 2.8kHz for cut-through presence, and a shelving bass boost for extra low-end saturation — before you even touch the onboard EQ.
For deeper shaping, the six-band active graphic EQ covers bass, four mid bands, and treble, all independently adjustable. Around back, a balanced direct output with switchable digital impulse-response cabinet simulation makes this pedal DI-ready for stage or studio, with a Ground Lift switch and a Cab Sim bypass for zero-latency signal when you need it raw.
This version adds a 1/8" stereo Aux In, letting you plug in a phone or laptop to jam along with backing tracks through the built-in headphone amp — perfect for silent practice.
