Description
Think of the Battalion as your bass rig’s mission control — a single stompbox that replaces the preamp, DI, and EQ section of a traditional amp head. At its core sits a four-band EQ voiced specifically for low end, with Bass (below 200Hz), Lo Mid (280Hz), Mid (750Hz), and Treble (above 2kHz) controls that let you carve anything from a scooped slap tone to a mid-forward rock growl.
The onboard MOSFET distortion section, governed by Level, Blend, Drive, and Tone knobs plus its own footswitch, ranges from a subtle grind to full-on fuzzed-out low end. Three switchable signal routings change the character entirely: run distortion Pre-EQ to shape the dirt afterward, Post-EQ to distort your already-tailored tone, or Dry EQ to keep your clean signal EQ’d while blending in a separately-voiced dirty layer.
A push-button compressor with its own amount control and LED adds punch and sustain without squashing your attack, while an adjustable noise gate keeps hum and hiss out of your signal without chewing into your note decay.
Built for real-world bass rigs, the Battalion offers comprehensive I/O flexibility including a switchable 10dB pad on the input jack for hot active basses. It runs on buffered bypass in a mono analog circuit, ships with its 9.6VDC-200mA power adapter, and draws 100mA — a solid, pedalboard-ready unit at 5.75 x 4.75 x 2.5 inches.
