Built by the bass-playing engineers at LR Baggs who wanted a better DI for their own rigs, the Stadium Electric Bass DI puts a full toolkit of tone-shaping controls at the end of your signal chain. It’s equally at home going straight to the board for clean, transparent direct injection, or getting pushed into harmonically rich, growling territory when you want your bass to have some teeth in the mix.
At the core is an all-discrete signal path built from top-shelf components, delivering the kind of fidelity you’d expect from a dedicated studio DI — not a stage accessory. The enclosure itself is aluminum, steel, and ABS plastic, hand-assembled in California to survive load-in after load-in.
The onboard shaping tools give you real control over feel, not just frequency:
- Growl: Saturates a focused low-frequency range for warmth and harmonic thickness without full breakup; the Drive button pushes it into full-range overdrive when you want more bite.
- Comp EQ: Three touch-sensitive compression bands (low, mid, high) that respond to your playing dynamics in real time, smoothing tone while keeping the feel natural.
- Attack: A focused mid-band EQ sweep — warmer and muted toward the left, punchier and clearer toward the right — covering everything from jazz tones to aggressive picking.
Additional practical features include a Fat switch for a +3dB/+6dB boost at 150Hz, a VU meter for dialing in gain on passive or active pickups, XLR and 1/4″ outputs, 48V phantom/9V battery/9V DC power flexibility, a Pad switch for PA-friendly output levels, and a ground lift for quiet, hum-free signal. Comes with the included LR Baggs carrying case. This unit is open box, in mint condition.
