Description
Take the M-108’s precision and drag it through hell—that’s the KFK1. Built with Slayer’s Kerry King, this 10-band EQ carries the same rugged construction and surgical tone-shaping as MXR’s standard EQ, but adds a second output so you can slam two amps simultaneously for maximum stage carnage.
- Ten sliders for boost or cut up to 12dB across 31.25Hz, 62.5Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz, and 16kHz
- Dedicated Input Gain and Output Level sliders, each with +/- 12dB range
- Dual outputs for driving two amps at once or feeding a stereo rig
- True hardwire bypass footswitch with illuminated sliders when engaged
- Runs on two 9V batteries or a Dunlop ECB-004 18V adapter (note: earliest units may lack battery capability)
On the board, this pedal earns its spot before a distortion or high-gain amp channel, where scooping the mids and jacking the low end turns chugging rhythm parts into a wall of thrash. Flip it into boost mode ahead of a solo and the dual output lets you push a clean amp and a dirty amp at the same time for a fatter, more massive lead tone. Sliders offer real hands-on control rather than menu-diving—dial in your scoop, lock in your low-end thunder, and get back to riffing.
This is an EQ for players who want their tone heavier, louder, and completely unapologetic.
