Description
The Transit B is Trace Elliot’s take on the do-it-all bass preamp, shrunk down into a floor unit built for players who want console-level tone control at their feet rather than buried in a rack. This unit is being sold Open Box in Mint condition, so you get full functionality at a better price point.
At its core sits a 5-band semi-parametric EQ paired with a dual-band compressor, both with defeat switches so you can A/B your shaped tone against your raw signal instantly. Flip on Pre-shape and you’re into that unmistakable Trace Elliot mid-scoop, ready for slap or fingerstyle attack. A Drive control with a blend knob lets you dial saturation in gradually rather than as an all-or-nothing switch, and it’s footswitchable for on-the-fly grit. A Passive/Active toggle means the front end adapts to whatever bass you plug in.
Routing is where this pedal earns its rack-replacement status: Pre and Post balanced XLR outputs with ground lift, line level and instrument level outs, a dry output, an Aux input, and a headphone jack for silent practice. The backlit control panel doubles as a chromatic tuner via the Mute/Tune switch, so you’re never fumbling for a separate box mid-set.
