Description
The Mini Katana carries forward the DNA of Keeley’s original Time Machine Boost circuit from 2002 — the dual Class A JFET design that guitarists loved so much they left it running all night. Now condensed into a board-friendly enclosure, it still delivers the same cascading FET boost that mimics the front end of a cranked tube amp rather than relying on diode clipping or LED tricks.
- Over 35dB of clean boost — enough headroom for solos, sound reinforcement, or waking up a dark pedal chain
- Dual Class A JFET circuitry for that unmistakable tube-amp push
- Two internal micro switches unlock 4 distinct modes
Flip the Hi-Gain switch and the Katana crosses into light overdrive territory. Engage the new Hi-Cut switch on its own and you get a rounder, warmer boost — ideal for taming a bright Strat or Tele bridge pickup. Run both switches together and you land on the thickest setting: creamy, saturated, and loud, the mode that made the original Katana a favorite among players who wanted a boost pedal that never got switched off.
Place it at the front of your chain to push a dirty amp into singing sustain, drop it after your drive pedals to add volume and shimmer for solos, or use it as a transparent always-on tone shaper. Whatever the position, it stays true to the source signal while adding weight and presence rather than grit.
Same character that defined boutique clean boost, now scaled down to fit any pedalboard and any budget.
