Description
Moho treats fuzz as a spectrum rather than a single flavor. Turn the MOOD knob and you sweep continuously through analog fuzz territory: loose, gated “broken amp” textures reminiscent of early Tone Bender and Fuzz Face circuits, into warm ’60s Fuzz Face sustain built for blues and psych leads, onward into thick Big Muff-style grunge sustain for wall-of-sound riffing, and finally into modern gated/spitty fuzz with octave textures. Every stop on that dial is a real analog circuit—there’s no digital emulation happening here, just genuine transistor-driven fuzz reshaped in real time.
The ELECTRICITY knob adds a second dimension: a built-in analog octaver and ring modulator that layers subharmonic growl (great for doom and sludge riffing), piercing octave-up lead tones, or fully synthetic ring-modulated overtones for glitchy, alien textures. Combine both controls and Moho covers everything from vintage-correct fuzz tones to sounds no vintage pedal ever made.
For pedalboard builders who need integration, Moho brings serious control options:
- 128 storable presets with full MIDI implementation for live recall
- MIDI CC control over every parameter for DAW automation and sync
- Expression pedal input to morph live between two fuzz settings
- True bypass via electromechanical relay switching
Housed in a 5mm-thick aluminium enclosure with a sulphur-spark painted finish, it measures 11.2 x 16.4 x 5.2 cm and weighs 850g. Input impedance sits at 1 Meg Ohm in guitar mode, output impedance is 100 Ohm in bypass. Runs on 9VDC center-negative power (adaptor not included, 250mA minimum, 300mA+ recommended) and uses a type A mini jack TRS MIDI cable for MIDI connections.
