Baroni built the Jeval around a genuine dual-channel tube preamp stage, anchored by a hi-voltage ECC82 that pumps real harmonic content, dynamics and low-end weight into the signal – the kind of response you only get from an actual tube circuit. The CALM channel channels vintage blackface clean tone, warm and glassy, ready to sit under any pedalboard for your dirt and modulation. Flip to RAGE and you get Baroni’s take on their own GURUS NINJA preamp pedal: a tube-plus-FET design stacking up to six gain stages to conjure the snarl of the angriest high-gain amps.
